Cozi Jacket Tester Roundup

Cozi Jacket Tester Roundup

It's time for another tester roundup, y'all!

The Cozi Jacket is the latest sewing pattern to join the Pattern Scout collection, and it is definitely the most...cozy? Yes, I chose a very on-the-nose name for this pattern because it just felt right.

This pattern is available in US sizes 0-30 (with finished garment measurements for bust/waist/hips up to 64 1/2" (164 cm).

I always learn so much through testing, and this test was no exception. I had a fantastic group that combed through the pattern and helped me make it so much better than it was when we started. The testers also showed me just how versatile this simple pattern can be! I was able to see it in several different types of fabric, which was very helpful. And I've got so many ideas for pattern hacks for this thing now, since my perspective on what it can  be made from has expanded...if I can manage to get to them all it will be a miracle!

Anyhow! On to the testers' makes...

VERSION A

Version A was definitely the favorite view among the testers. I love how this version can go super sporty, or a little more every-day-casual depending on the fabric choice.

VERSION B

Version B is that perfect oversized hoodie for that comfort-first lounge vibe. Being that this can be made in both wovens and knits, there are so many options for styling this piece!

And last, but certainly not least! Claire made the choice to pivot on the design, but I think she still made a beautiful project! It also goes to show how changing a few details and finishing touches can offer a new style option--in this case, removing the collar and zipper, changing the pocket shape and size, and omitting the wide hems of the sleeves and bodice.
