Ava Dress Tester Roundup
As of this posting, summer is 34 days away! At the start of this year I set a goal to release three new patterns before summer, and the Ava Dress launch is the third. So, I'm celebrating...and ready to embrace the warmer temps in style!
If you've been following along, you'll know that the first two patterns from Pattern Scout this year (Cozi and Comfi) were designed to embrace a more comfortable lifestyle. While Ava is definitely comfortable, I wanted it to also feel a little more special. And after seeing all the tester versions, I'm really proud of the versatility of this dress for both casual and fancier outings.

Each pattern goes through testing, and I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but the testers are the BEST. They help me enormously when it comes time to release new patterns. From typos and clarity of instructions, to garment fit and drafting mistakes, the testers let me know where the pattern can be improved. They also give me multiple perspectives to consider for both beginners and more experienced sewists alike, and clue me in to any fitting challenges I might otherwise miss on my own. I am endlessly grateful for their support (and we have a good time, too!). I've been lucky enough to have an amazing group for all of my pattern tests, and the Ava test was no exception.
So, let's see what they made, shall we? Below are photos shared with me with permission to share from testers.
